vacations aren't what they used to be...

remember the days when you had a 2 month long summer vacation? well rested? i had 1 week off from work and i spent the entire time in washington d.c. for me, washington dc is like vancouver bc, i go once a year, almost every year. there's something soothing for me to go there; i enjoy the drive and then the nostalgics of the tourist attractions. sometimes it feels as if i am going back to a place that i moved away from; you just seem to know the area, okay maybe not for real but you get what i mean. but even after a relaxing week there, i still feel just as tired and sleepy as before.

i sense that time is running out for me; i know it sounds crazy, but i want that living on your own experience when i'm still young. i'm 25 already, sounds crazy i know! i refuse to rent, i must buy buy buy!

how often do you think over your life? reset your goals? how often do you see them through?

pride

toronto celebrates pride this weekend and traffic is blah yet again. well, at least when i do get a place in the city i won't have to worry about it. i love it!!!

even though i said before, and numerous times, that i won't be modding my car any further, i can't help but want to get some halo for my car. sighs... oh ya, my altezza tailights had to be removed because of crazy crazy condensation. there was a puddle inside when i removed it and the bottom "chrome" back-up light was all black. maybe a seal job then it will be all good. we'll see. if not, have to chuck them and just tint the tailights instead.

reading another book now, the girl with the dragon tattoo. it's basically about this old rich guy who is haunted by the unsolved mystery of his missing niece; he hires a reporter and a private investigator/security services girl to help solve it. well, i've only gotten into about 1/3 of the book and so far it has been great! fast-paced story, no wonder they made a movie out of it. so far it is a recommand.

if any of you have been the the ex during the summer; all the 416/905 ppl forsure have, then you know about them tiny tom donuts. they have a retail store now in markham at the corner of woodbine and denison. don't know how long they have been opened, so go and check it out! http://www.tinytomdonuts.com/

yesterday i went to cafe michi for dinner. i honestly did not expect a place like this in the location (on pharmacy, south of sheppard); but then again i didn't expect zen (the plaza on eglington right beside a strip joint! lol). it's a cute little place that not only has your typical japanese dishes, it also offers great cakes! on top of that, it also sells handbags, keyrings, among other things. reservations are probably a must, and u need to make reservations for the omakase(spelling?) as well.
